We can enjoy this day since 1982 and The Dance Committee of the International Dance chose April 29th because on this day was born one of the most important dancers and choreographers named Jean-Georges Noverre.
Jean-Georges Noverre is renowned as the creator of modern ballet, because he left a great legacy in the world of dance, since he published different studies on ballet theory.
Each year, a guest speaker who is involved with the world of dancing is chosen to deliver the message of this important day.
