The person I particularly like is my father. I wouldn't know where to begin to describe the way he is. But physically he is a strong, muscular, dark-skinned man. He is tall and has hair all over his body except on his head. His face is very cute, he has ears proportioned to his head and a nose that is somewhat pointed, but at the same time broad. His eyes are the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, they have an orange colour near the pupil and a greyish-green colour on the rest.
What I like most about him is his sense of humour, even in the saddest situations he is able to bring a smile to the whole family. I really admire his love for sports (which he has also inculcated to me), he plays volleyball, paddleball, goes walking, swimming... Something I also like a lot about him is the way he enjoys music, his musical tastes are very diverse, but he usually listens to music from the 60s/80s (I consider that if I have good taste in music it is because of him).
He is a person with a very strong and forceful character, he is very stubborn, but when he knows he is not right he has no problem admitting it. He is a very loving and very caring person, he loves to dance with my mother and enjoy music. My father is capable of fixing anything, whenever something breaks down at home he always tries to fix it himself rather than calling in a professional. He has been a lathe operator for many years and understands patience and tact.
He is also very interested in photography and handicrafts; he does pyrography, and his camera has taken some of the best photos of fireworks I have ever seen. Every day I realise more and more that I am his equal in many aspects of my life and I am delighted to have acquired so many things from such a wonderful person.
I'm not lying when I say she has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen:
Oh, my Gosh! That description of your father is so cool and nice that I wonder if someone can describe me like him in any moment of my life. He seems to be so handsome in any particular way that is astonishing for the reader, I want to meet him and talk with him about different grups of those decades you mention in the post.
ReplyDeleteI´m very sure he knows perfectly groups like The Beatles or Pink Floyd, but maybe I can share with him a new bunch of interesting bands and artists like Creedence Clearwater Revival, Hawkwind, Henryck Górecki, Manowar... and, nowadays, there are several groups which make music inspired in that emblematic sound of that period of time. Examples like Miracle (and their album "The Strife of Love in a Dream"), The Hazytones or Steven Wilson (and his unforgettable album "The Raven that Refused to Sing").
By other hand, I´m very sure to have seen before something with the same color of his eyes, maybe a river stone with a perfect balance of grey, green and a little blue. Watching his eyes remember me nature and calm.
Thanks for that Lucía, your dad sounds like an interesting guy, who has transmitted important values and perspectives to you👏🏻
