THE TYPES OF STRATEGIES ARE:
- Test Strategies: This type of strategy is based on repetition of the contents either written or oral. It’s an effective technique to use the way of repetition as a reminder base. We read aloud, copy material, take notes, highlight...
- Development strategies: This type of strategy is to create connections between the new and the known, for example, summarize, make free notes, answer questions and describe how the information relates. Writing is one of the best memory reinforcement techniques.
- Organizational strategies: This type of strategy is based on a number of modes of action consisting of group information to make it easier to study it and understand it. Learning in this strategy is very effective because with this techniques: summarizing texts, diagrams, underline... perhaps learning will be more long-lived.
- Comprehension strategies: This type of strategy is based on achieving track strategy being used and the success of them and adapt to behaviour. Understanding is the basis of the study. Supervise action and thinking of the student and are characterized by the high level of consciousness required.
- Support Strategies: This type of stratey is based on improving the efficiency of learning strategies, improving the conditions in which they happen. Establishing motivation, focusing and concentration, time management... The student with their teacher's dedication will be important to their development.
HOW TO TEACH LEARNING STRATEGIES?
- When the teacher evaluates, he/she needs to improve the ability of the student, watching their progress and processes.
- The teacher should create an ideal environment for students.
- Not create indifference.
Learning Strategies is the basis of knowledge and It´s known that a lot of people don´t have a good strategy or simply, they don´t have one.
ReplyDeleteFor this reason, some people fail in their exams and it has to be frustrating, to study and study and don´t have any results.
So, we have to teach good strategies like this that you posted and also, we have to teach to our future students that they have to try all the strategies because sometimes they are in the idea that their strategies are good but they fail their exams and we have to teach that they have to try another one!
I think strategies are a good help for students if well used. It's our task to provide them of different strategies and teach them how to use all different types by practising with some exameples, so they can choose the one that fits them better.

I must confess there are times when I had difficulty understanding the text - maybe you were thinking in Spanish and translating yourself into English – but there were things that weren’t clear in English (“to use the way of repetition as a reminder base”, “This type of strategy is to create connections between the new and the known”, “This type of strategy is based on a number of modes of action consisting of group information to make it easier to study it and understand it”, “This type of strategy is based on achieving track strategy being used and the success of them and adapt to behaviour. Supervise action and thinking of the student and are characterized by the high level of consciousness required.”) So sometimes I wasn’t really clear about what strategy I should use to make sense of it☺ Nevertheless, your topic is clearly of interest for all of us, so I think it was a good choice!
ReplyDeleteI find very interesting your contribution because it offers different possibilities to teach. I think that in Kindergarten we can't apply all these strategies, whereas in Primary Education children are more prepared to face these methods.
ReplyDeleteThe variety of strategies is useful because it adapts to the diversity of the classroom.I think that if students want to achieve success in their learning, they have to combine several strategies.
